Finding a workout place abroad is not easy task, isn't it.
When it comes to Japan, it gets worse because the private fitness industry worships the membership based system.
On the other hands, the fitness gym in community center offers "hourly" rate (i mean per 2 hours, 3 hours, or daily usually depends on the community center you choose) and it's very cheap.
Here is the one for you in Taito-ku!

"One of the CHEAPEST"
Taito Riverside Sports Center is located in Taito-ku.
It is quite far from any railway station. The closest station is Asakusa-station (Tobu Line, Toei Asakusa Line, and Tokyo Metro Ginza Line).
250 yen for 3 hours. GREAT!
Quite many youngling.
It is not spacy but OK size.
Unlike average community center gym, the free-weights zone is larger than machines.
The cardio zone and strength & resistance training zone is separated, and stretch area is allocated in each zone.
- Max dumbbell weight about 32kg
- Barbell 5kg to 45kg
- 3 flat bench presses (30 mins per usage)
- 2 flat benches
- 2 adjustable benches (smith machines)
Having 3 flat bench presses is rare case for community center gym.
Barbell lineup is also one of the appeals.
Actually very few but OK for me, as my training style is to stick to the basics always.
They got two smith machines and one cable pulley machine.
